In an effort to get Pax used to sitting at the table like a big boy, we've started having him sit in the highchair while we eat dinner. The first attempt was a big fat fail, and he screamed the instant we put him in until the instant we took him out. We figured out that we could recline the seat back, which helped a lot. The amount of time that Paxton tolerates keeps increasing. He started with about 5 minutes, but will now sit 15-20 minutes, as long as he has something to chew on/stick in his mouth. We think he'll be much more tolerant when he actually gets rewarded for sitting there (i.e. gets some yummy food!!). We will probably start with rice cereal after his next well check, which is in the last week of August.
