One thing that Pax had to get used to again was baths! Pre-cast he LOVED baths. Loved them. With the cast on, he could only get sponge baths, which he was not a big fan of. When we put him in the tub for his first post-cast bath, he screamed at the top of his lungs! He hated every minute of it, especially having water dumped on his head. After about a week, he turned back into a bath-lover, thankfully!

Getting there....
Getting used to being without the cast took some time. When it was first off, Pax was pulling himself up, cruising, and walking holding on to our hands. Then he started to back off, preferred crawling and would favor his leg. After a call to the doc, she said that it was completely normal and to only become concerned if he continued to favor it for a few more weeks, or regressed. When I touched his leg, Pax didn't appear to be in pain, so it could have just been the memory of how the broken bone felt.
