8 months

Sawyer is 8 months old today!  Hard to believe how fast this first year is flying by!

*Sawyer is weighing in between 20 and 21 pounds and wearing almost all 12 month clothes.  He still fits in some 9 month clothes, but not many.
*Sawyer celebrated by coming down with a stomach bug, which he then shared with the whole family.  We're all still recovering.
*Sawyer loves to eat, eat, eat!  We've gotten away from purees and just give Sawyer pieces of fruits and vegetables.  He continues to love puffs and just started chowing down on Cheerios.
*Sawyer continues to be mostly breastfed.  He gets one bottle of formula at the sitter and a bottle of formula at night.
*Sleep is still an evolving process for Sawyer :)  He is in bed and asleep around 7:15/7:30 each night.  He usually wakes to eat sometime between 2 or 4 and then goes back to sleep until 6 or 7.  We're getting there!
*Still not a fan of the pacifier but will gnaw on it if he finds it in his crib.
*He's become a very proficient scooter.  He will get up on all fours and rock back and forth but then goes down on his belly and scoots.  His favorite things to scoot towards?  The heat/A/C registers, dog bowls, remote control, of course!
*Sawyer (and Pax) started going to a new sitter before Thanksgiving.  After a lot of drama at the old sitter, it was time.  One of the ladies that worked at the old day care started watching kids in her home and watches our guys.  They LOVE her.  And her adoration is pretty apparent.  And she's in Perrysburg!  We're so lucky.
*Sawyer is still only rocking 2 teeth.  We're waiting for new ones to come in at any time!
*Some of Sawyer's favorite things:  his big brother, grabbing the dogs' fur, scooting, being held, his jumperoo, eating, anything that he can put in his mouth, eating
*Some of Sawyer's least favorite things:  being left in the room alone, sleeping through the night, not eating when everybody else is eating
*Sawyer loves "chatting" and babbling.  "Dada" is his new favorite, but we get some "ga"s sometimes too.
*He has completely mastered sitting on his own and has graduated to the big kid bathroom with big brother.  He wasn't a fan of water on his head the first time, but has since gotten used to it!
