Big man Paxton is 17 months old today! Another amazingly fast month has gone by, how does that happen?
*Paxton's vocabulary is continuing to expand. He loves to mimic what we are saying, which is usually good for a laugh! New words include Bama (Obama), rain (RAIN!!!!), TV, dark, cold, help, among others.
*Paxton never stops moving! He loves running from room to room and loves to do it quickly. He is starting to wipe out less and less, which is a good thing because he tends to be a little dramatic at times (*gasp* I don't know where he would have gotten that from!!).
*We've started with temper tantrums! Usually if mommy or daddy takes something forbidden away, like a remote or phone. They usually involve falling to the floor, head down.
*Paxton's eating has slowed down a bit. He still has a big appetite, but doesn't eat that large of meals anymore. His taste buds vary from day to day, especially with fruit. Bananas and applesauce continue to be consistent winners. Occasional winners include blueberries, grapes, tomatoes. He still refuses to eat all other berries.
*Paxton continues to be a fiesty one and definitely likes to be the dominant kid in the room. He loves to tackle or push other kids, but not maliciously. He usually does it if they are in his way or if he doesn't see them. Except his favorite girl Madilynn, he just loves to attack her!
*We are still waiting for Pax's canines to come in! Some look close to the surface, but none have broken through yet. With the amount of slobbering he's doing, he must be close!
*Paxton has recently started Kindermusik again and is taking gymnastics. He has moved into the older kids class at Kindermusik where they are actually expected to participate and sit down to listen to books. This could be interesting! He adores gymnastics because the kids get to run anywhere they want and just wreck havoc. That's what this kid does best!
*Paxton loves to explore. He can usually be found opening cupboards, closing/opening doors, and/or sitting in things (i.e., dog cage, coffee table).
*Paxton is able to navigate steps while holding on to a railing.
*Paxton is suffering from some separation anxiety. Some days he's fine when I leave him at daycare, but other days start off with a full fledged meltdown.
*Paxton has super-sonic hearing and can hear a plane or a choo-choo before I can.
