A glimpse into Life According to Paxton at 1.25 years old!*Paxton's list of words continues to grow: mom, dad, dog, ball, baby, milk, water, snack, nana (babysitter), baba (grandpa), banana (nanana), oh!, no, whoa, night night, done. His favorites continue to be ball and dog. He still does the sign for all done as well.
*Paxton has been working on animal sounds and has a favorite: tigers/lions, which both come out as 'roar'! It's pretty cute. He has also started barking (or woofing) in response to the dogs.
*Paxton is running and standing up on his own without using anything to pull up on.
*At dinner the other day, he blew on his mac n cheese when I told him it was hot. So cute!
*We've found some more fruit Paxton will eat! Watermelon, pineapple, and mango! I'm so glad to get to branch away from applesauce and bananas!
*Paxton is still working on using a spoon and fork, but does a pretty good job of making an attempt.
*Paxton is beginning to become more of a handful at restaurants. He is no longer happy to sit and wait for his food to be ready. He usually will want to eat his snacks, drink his water, play with mommy/daddy's phone, drink our drink, smile/flirt with everybody, play with sunglasses, etc.
*Speaking of snacks, Paxton would love to have his snack cup with him 100% of the time. If he happens to see it on the counter, it's all over. He will scream until he gets it!
*Paxton is going to day care one day a week over the summer. It will help with the transition in the fall and gives mommy some time to do her schoolwork and run errands!
*Paxton loves swimming and all water! His baths usually involve a lot of splashing and playing with toys. He loves to swim in his baby pool and splash all over the place. He now loves to lay on his belly and starting to put his face in the water!
*He has figured out that if he opens the drain in the bathtub, daddy will have to turn the faucet back on. That is usually good for some laughs!
*Paxton would be outside all the time if we let him! He is quite content to go for a wagon/stroller ride and stare at everything. As long as he has a sippy cup/snack cup and/or toy, he's good to go!
*Paxton is still taking two naps a day, but will be ready to transition very soon. He also usually sleeps around 12 hours at night. We try to have him in bed around 7:30 and he usually sleeps until around 7 or 7:30.
*Paxton loves spending time with his friends, but tends to be the aggressor of the group! There is often pushing, throwing things, and/or hitting. We're working on it, but when we say no, he usually just looks at us and grins!
*Paxton is in 18- to 24-month clothes. One piece outfits need to be at least 24 months and some of his 18 month shirts are quickly becoming too short. Our little man is going to be a football player!
