Today we had our daycare Christmas party. Most of the kids and parents went over to our babysitter's house for dinner and gift exchange. The kids all seemed a little confused about why the adults were staying and not leaving! It was a bit of organized chaos, and Paxton was a little shy at first, but after a while, he was army crawling all over the place! We got some nice gifts from his babysitter (Tena) and a(nother) Gloworm in the gift exchange. Now we have a back up for all the traveling and nights spent in the Pack n Play! While at the party, we learned that Paxton has "forgotten how to be a baby" and loves to sit up at the "big kid" table while they eat. He has started mastering Cheerios and toast and can certainly rock the sippy cup. While at the party, the big kids were eating and drinking and Paxton saw a sippy cup and freaked out. Nothing would appease him until he got his own sippy cup of juice and could eat some of mommy's roll. This kiddo is an eating machine!
We also learned that Paxton is the daycare bully! Hard to believe that our sweet boy could be called a bully, but we got to see it in action. Paxton is the only one of the "babies" who is mobile. So when they're in the baby area, he loves to crawl to other babies and start poking and prodding their faces haha. I'm not really sure what the fascination is, but have experienced the same thing when Paxton goes in for open mouth kisses on my face. Maybe he's just trying to love on everybody! Hopefully once the other kiddos become mobile and can start poking him back, he'll stop!
